The original inspiration is rooted in Marrakesh, an iconic and sensory city where fragrances, spices, oils, resins and objects laden with suggestion fill markets and memory. From one of those journeys comes an oud oil, intentionally “inauthentic,” but incredibly evocative: sweet, smoky, dense, with a unique olfactory signature. It is from that element that a first scented base, a dense, enveloping accord called My Oud, comes to life.
Later, during the development of a new project initially called Into Darkness and later renamed Dark Side, this base was integrated quite naturally within the new formula, becoming its secret heart. Over time, the composition underwent many changes, to the point where the very presence of that first insight was forgotten. Only the careful comment of an enthusiast – who perceived an unspoken oud nuance – brought to light the origin of that olfactory memory, born among the perfumed streets of Marrakesh. A secret that remained so not by will, but by the very power of oblivion.
